The Raiders Released CB Damon Arnette After He Was Waving Guns And Threatening To Kill A Raiders Fan That Was Talking Shit In His DMs
I guess the NFLPA has a new cautionary tale to add to their next rookie symposium. As someone who has dealt with a hater or two slide into my DMs because they don't enjoy my work, I get Damon Arnette being upset. It's never fun to have someone tell you how much you stink at your job from behind a screen saying things that you would never say to their face.
That being said, this is NOT how you respond to said DMs.
I didn't have a rookie symposium here at Barstool and to be honest, my boss is the craziest fuck here when it comes to unleashing a grudge at someone coming after him. But even I know flashing the guns from the new Warzone update, making death threats, and using language like that is an easy way to lose your job. The worst part of this for Arnette, outside of having to go on the NFL's version of Indeed, is that he ironically gave that hating fan in his DMs exactly what he wanted, which is Arnette no longer cashing paychecks from his beloved Rrrrrrrrraiders.
I thought this news was a tough look for Mike Mayock as their GM of the future after I saw this tweet.
Then I saw this tweet
This tweet
And this tweet
And yeahhhhh, losing to a team that has Jason Garrett calling the offensive plays yesterday is the least of Mayock's concerns right now considering these are the results for the bounty of picks he had given to him after he was hired four months after the Khalil Mack trade.
I think we gotta run this poll back.
I'd say Arnette could land somewhere else for a team that wants to take a chance on someone despite potential character issues, but usually the Raiders are the team I am thinking of will take that chance and having an NFL team in Vegas doesn't seem like the best of ideas right now. If only there was a team in the bottom 10 of the NFL in passing defense that just got throttled by Teddy Two Gloves & Co. yesterday and is known to overlook an off the field issue or five.
